Europe and Asia stock indices rushed up

This image is no longer relevant

A new day began positively on the stock market in the Asia-Pacific region. The main indices showed growth after the American counterparts, who in turn met with enthusiasm the news that the Federal Reserve of the United States of America intends to continue its soft stimulating policy. As it became known, the Fed is going to make a considerable purchase of bonds in the corporate sector in the near future.

Japan's Nikkei 225 Index is up by 3.42%. Its further change will take place against the background of the decision of the Central Bank of the country regarding further monetary policy.

The South Korean KOSPI index also advanced rapidly and immediately added 4.25%. Slightly behind him is the Australian ASX 200 index who also grew significantly by 3.49%.

The Hong Kong index was up by 2.47%, while China's Shanghai Composite Index posted the smallest rise with 0.77%.

Such a significant result could be even better if market participants did not have concerns about the second wave of coronavirus infection. Recall that over the past weekend new outbreaks of the disease were recorded in China. The same thing happened in the United States. However, for the most part, investors continue to hope for the best and maintain a positive attitude.

European stock markets are also gaining momentum today. Market participants here are encouraged by the measures that the Central Bank of countries are taking to support their markets and economies.

Investors' attention is directed to the UK. There should be a regular meeting of the Bank of England. The results of which can change market sentiment.

In the meantime, it became clear that there are some positive aspects in the economy. So, statistics on the rate of increase in the number of new applications for unemployment benefits in the UK were released. According to the data, over the last spring month, this indicator fell. Recall that in April the statistics were extremely disappointing and reached maximum values. To date, the number of new applications increased by 528.9 thousand, while the April increase amounted to 856.5 thousand. However, even this rather significant decrease was higher than the preliminary forecasts of analysts who expected a decrease to 400 thousand applications.

According to the International Labor Organization in the UK, the unemployment rate from February to April was at around 3.9%, the same figure was recorded in the previous period. But the experts' assumptions were much worse. They were confident in the increase to 4.7%.

The overall index of enterprises in the European region Stoxx Europe 600 today moved up by 1.84% and moved to the level of 359.59 points.

The UK FTSE 100 index jumped 2.3% which was the highest this morning. The German DAX Index climbed 2.1%. The French CAC index increased by 1.7%. The indices of Spain and Italy also showed good results: the first increased by 2.06%, while the second increased by 1.7%.

As for the corporate sector in Europe, here the securities of companies from the tourism sector began to use popularity. For example, shares of the tour operator Carnival CCL cruise tours significantly increased by 6.8%. They are followed by shares of the International Consolidated Airlines Group, which rose by 6.2%.

Securities of the company from the UK Ashtead Group soared by 12.6%.

Shares of cinema operator Cineworld Group PLC also rose by 5.1%. And this rise is probably not the last one since the company announced that it intends to begin work after quarantine bans at the end of this month.
